DESCRIPTION:As our lives continue to ebb and flow\, we all seek safety and
comfort from one another. This can make this time of social distancing par
ticularly sorrowful and stressful. I encourage us to neither dwell in the
past nor let our thoughts run to any imagined future.\nWe are here ... bre
athing and caring for each other\, for the world and for ourselves right n
ow. \nThank you Suzanne Lawrence\, for offering these brief video encount
ers inviting us to live deeply and truthfully.\nIf you'd like to connect w
ith Suzanne ~ scroll to the bottom of this page to leave a comment or conc
 ern.\n\nJune 13th\, 2020: Anxiety\, let's call it as it is!\nAnxiety is a
fluctuating state that can often overwhelm us. We often try to avoid it\,
manage it\, resist it and sometimes\, we are carried away by it. Anxiety i
s suffering! Because anxiety is fear of some future collapse\, we are pull
ed away from ourselves and away from the present moment. Our bodies constr
ict\, tighten and try to escape being here. We can be trapped by an illuso
ry and fearful future as we try to escape an overwhelming and wounded past
. This conflict "seemingly" takes us away from the peace and harmony of th
e present moment. Yet\, this moment\, this encounter with the Sacred\, is
eternally available to us. We have only to find our heroic courage to stop
 ..... and have a look.\n\nJune 6th\, 2020: The Gift of Failure\nFailure is
one of the most intelligent and effective gifts that can come our way. As
we make our way on the hero's path\, we are bound to be met (and often cl
obbered) by obstacles\, fears and limitations. Sometimes\, our greatest fa
ilures leave us speechless\, undone and intensely vulnerable. There is won
drous wisdom at the heart of failure. As we try\, try and try again to dec
lare ourselves as someone or something special in the world\, failure come
s to wake us up. A sentinel of the soul\, failure is there to invite us in
to remembering who we truly are. Our natural innocence and redemptive love
find their way through the brokenness and we become better and better at
failing.... at loving... at being Heroes.\n\n \nMay 22nd\, 2020: Did You
Ever Know You Were Your Hero?\nThe human Heart\, our Heart\, is large enou
gh to hold whatever has threatened to destroy us. Over lifetimes and gener
ations we have proven ourselves to be highly adaptive survivors. Much to o
ur dismay however\, all these exquisite strategies have not brought us to
the promised land. We lament and grieve our somewhat un-lived life. As we
are now in a collective "wilderness experience"\, we are asked to return t
o the Heart. Together\, with courage and earnestness we access the wellspr
ing of resilience. With deep listening we follow as we are guided out of t
he desert and on to the hero's path..... stepping into the fullness of our
  lives.\n\n \nMay 15th\, 2020: Cultivating Courage\nCultivating courage i
n a time when that seems the last thing we’re inclined to be about. \n\
 n\n \nMay 9th\, 2020: Checking in with your mental health?\n
